We Didn't Forget!!

What a shame this COVID nightmare has stopped most services all over the world to remember our fallen.

Even here in Spain the few that I knew about were cancelled but after asking around I was finally informed there was a Garden Of Reflection situated in La Marina, San Fulgencio.

They also could not hold their usual Rememberence Day Service but I was intrigued to go and have a nosey at what the garden was all about.

So myself and my very good friend Billy set off early Sunday morning to find this tranquil garden I had heard all about.

Good job we set off as early as we did. Yes you guessed it me being the driver it was not that easy to find,

Easy enough to get to La Marina but my god I think it has to be the biggest Urbanisation I have ever got lost in.

But after literally driving round in circles we struck lucky and finally found the right one and WOW the organisers of this Garden have done themselves proud.

Garden of Reflection situated at Calle Lisboa, La Marina, San Fulgencio, 03177 is absolutely beautiful.

As well as Rememberence day this beautiful garden is a quiet, tranquil place for people of all nationalities, race and religion to visit, place memorials and remember their loved ones.

The upkeep of this area is down to all who visit and also the local town council assist.

As you can see in the photo's what an amazing job they have done.

It was so peaceful and I was so glad we decided to go there to remember our fallen heroes. Due to the current restrictions they had to be very strict with numbers and was only allowed 25 people inside at one time. We was greeted at the gate by a very happy chappy with hand sanitizer and once inside the garden there were poppies on the floor laid at a distance of 2meters apart.

As we walked around the garden music from back in the day was playing out and everyone was wearing masks and rightly so.

Well done to the Garden Army it was a great morning of Remembering. I will be back..
