When you think July is hot nothing compares to August over here... PHEW!!
BOILING... That's all I can say!!
I now know why I never used to come to Spain in August.
Amid all the heat, house renovations & work etc.. yep I melted though it and is here to tell the story of what a great August it turned out to be.
Amid all the house renovations that is still happening as we speak, Stubby Hubby arrived for birthday shenanigans. Yay party time!!
Off we trotted to our fave Spanish Restaurant, Meson El Prado, situated in the heart of our lovely village San Miguel de Salinas.
Due to the restrictions still in place we was only allowed 6 at the table.
But the company, food & service was as always excellent!
So after having private number plates since I have been here & going through residentia, of course that meant I would have to change my car over to Spanish.
Wasn't happy to lose my private number plates I loved them but FINALLY after 9 months I got my new Spanish Number Plates!!
And im sorry but just Had to laugh at the ones I have ended up with!!! Only me!!
Had the greatest pleasure of catching up with my gorgeous god-daughter Lizzy & her boyfriend Ariel while they was over on holiday in the beautiful village of Los Urrutias.
Had a lovely lunch along the strip in Mar Menor then a walk on the beach & of course can't go anywhere without my Minni Pooch.
Los Urrutias is a town in the municipality of Cartagena in the autonomous community of Murcia in Spain . It is integrated into the county of El Algar , on the coast of the Mar Menor , and limits to the north with the Cartagena county of El Lentiscar ( Punta Brava and El Carmolí ); to the east, with the Mar Menor ; to the south, with the town of Los Nietos , belonging to the Rincón de San Ginés county council ; and to the west, with El Algar , capital of the county.

Oh yes because of the heat of August just had to buy a SPA.. Yep a Spa!! Why? because its has been well needed to cool down in and now I can't wait to use it in the winter months seeing as the bath has been ripped out during the house renovations. #lazyspa #lazysummernights
As well as swimming as much as possible while the municpal pool was still open, it closes in September, I continued to support local business's by going for many a menu del dia.
Checked out an amazing place in the middle of nowhere but not at all far from San Miguel, Rancho Blanco
