March brought more heartbreak for me as we lost a beautiful Bird of Paradise - Queen Reen..
A very special friend who we have known for very many years now.
We first met Don & Irene back in the day when myself and my now hubby, first moved to Spain a long time ago.
We owned a Barber Shop in Quesada when one day this lovely couple Don & Irene walked in to use our internet, not to get his hair cut for some reason.
Don't think I have ever cut his hair to this day!!
We ended up moving back to the UK for a while but still kept in touch with our gorgeous amigos & gained more amigos when we met all the family.

Thank you so much for coming into our Barber Shop that day.
We have some amazing memories with these 2 guys and all their family.
Missing that beautiful smile every day.
March also brought St Patrick's day and this year I was djing outside O'Neill's Irish Bar in San Miguel alongside the band The Cover.
If you have never seen this band then you really have to check out where they are gigging next and go to one of their gigs.
Fantastic day was had by all & I think I have mentioned before that O'Neill's are now putting on live music every Saturday from 5.30pm, which is just what the village needs. In my opinion it is anyway. Have eaten at a few places this month, one of them being La Marquesa based in the heart of San Miguel. Little tiny Spanish wine/tapas bar.
Myself & my Spanish Bestie ordered plato de carne mixta y queso - a plate of mixed Spanish meats & cheese.
We even had cauliflower cheese!! Yes cheese made to look like cauliflower! It was fit!
A Good choice of red wine to enhance the flavours of course & compliment our food.
Its a little hidden treasure. Some wonderful wines, cheeses, olives, olive oils & much more you can buy from there.
It doesn't have a face book page but you can find it on Calle Rafael Narbona, just off the main high street in the centre of the village. #tapas #wine #Spanish
The highlight of my month was my Mum & Step-Dad Tom flying out to celebrate Tom's 85th birthday. And what a great time we all had.

Having family over is the best thing ever! Having to drop them back off at the airport is the worst! #sob #untilnexttime
So I took myself off to La Mata to spend the day and night with mi amigo Jamie. We basically ate far too much gorgeous food. Washed down by far too much gorgeous wine!
I have talked about the Italian on La Mata beach front in one of my earlier blogs. Seeing as I have only been once I have been itching to go again.
It did not disappoint one bit!
Just look at the view!
Kaavia Beach Club a great little beach bar to watch the sunset.
Not to mention the G&T's and chilled out tunes.
Watch this space DJ Caz Matthews might just be spinning some tunage here over the Summer.
And last but not least elpozo what a Top little Spanish Bar for a nightcap.
