LOVE IS IN THE AIR!!

It was a beautiful day here in Spain on World Cancer Day, 4th Feb, to sit in the sunshine at La Zenia Boulevard remembering loved ones we have lost to the dreaded C and thinking of all those who are still battling the dreaded C.

There was a event on, collecting for the Pink Ladies all monies going to Cancer of course and we enjoyed a few hours watching the entertainers and listening to the music.

About time I redeemed my christmas pressie off my besties. A full body massage in my own home courtesy of Zen-Sations. It was delicious. Just what the doctor ordered. And delivered by a fellow manc of all people. Nothing better than having a massage in your own home. No need to get dressed and drive home after it. I will definately be calling on her again. https://www.facebook.com/KV.ZenSations if you want pamper yourself. Don't forget to mention you read about her right here on We Love Spain Live. https://www.welovespain.live/

This time last year we was still on lock down over here, but this year we are allowed out and about so it was Spanish besties birthday and after a cocktail on the patio we went off to Browns Cocktail Bar for a couple more before heading off to the Emerald Isle for entertainment and dinner. https://www.facebook.com/brownscocktailandgastrobar

Well we wasn't very impressed with the Emerald Isle, what a disappointment it turned out to be. First of all no-one to greet you at the entrance so with not being there before we didn't have a clue where we was going. Found our table outside near the entertainment, which is what we asked for but didn't actually realise the entertainment was outside.

Was not warm enough to eat outside so decided to head back to the best carvery around - The New Tavern, San Miguel of course. https://www.facebook.com/thenewtavern22

They are now doing FISH & CHIPS SATURDAY EVERY SATURDAY FROM 6PM

Freshy battered!! Eat in or takeaway for the amazing price of only 7.50 per person

Call now to book 966194121 and yes Fish with Gravy is definately allowed!! #fishandchips

Valentines Day and once again this chick was spoilt rotten, wined, dined by mi Marido who flew in from the UK especially.

Was giddy to receive a fantastic hamper full of goodies, not from a secret admirer, from my gorgeous bestie in the UK.

Thanks so much Sam! xx

An early stroll along the beach to catch the sunrise.

Wasn't the best of mornings with it being cloudy but it was still a beautiful sight.

A great way to remind myself why I live in Spain. Especially when I am missing family and friends.

Wow just look at this.. Got to be the best bowl of soup I have had in a very long time.

The Abbey Tavern is where its at.

Go and try their winter special!!

Soup in a bread home made bowl with a glass of wine for the amazing price of just 7€!!!

The Abbey Tavern is a great bar with an amazing garden outside the back. They have lots of live music on and a great menu. Check out their facebook page its all on there.

La Florida is worth checking out too with many bars and restaurants.

.

Loving my plants in my garden especially my Bird of Paradise. I might not be able to cook but I have managed not to kill these. Strelitzia is a genus of five species of perennial plants, native to South Africa. It belongs to the plant family Strelitziaceae. The genus is named after Queen Charlotte of the United Kingdom. A common name of the genus is bird of paradise flower/plant, because of a resemblance of its flowers to birds-of-paradise.

Absolutely love having visitors from home. So it was fab to catch up with these 2 amigos Sue and Geoff.

They flew in for a cheeky few days and we had a great time.

Indian Tapas from our lovely Indian Restaurant.

You really can't beat this only 3.50 for 4 tapas and a drink!! They do an amazing lunch time menu if your looking for a bit more. Check them out right here..

Last but not least in this short month I took a quick trip to Los Alcazares, Murcia.

Los Alcázares is a municipality and a coastal spa town and former fishing village on the western side of the Mar Menor in the autonomous community and province of Murcia, south eastern Spain. The Mar Menor (little sea) belongs to three other municipalities: San Javier, San Pedro del Pinatar and Cartagena and is Europe's largest saltwater lagoon. Connected to the adjacent Mediterranean sea by several channels, the Mar Menor has a surface area of almost 20 km2 and the fact that it is typically 2-4 degrees warmer than the Mediterranean, makes it a very popular destination for sailing, windsurfing, kiteboarding and other water sports enthusiasts. Los Alcazares has a resident population (2018) of 15,674 which rises to over 100,000 during the peak tourist summer holiday season.

There is plenty to see and do here. #LosAlcazares #MarMenor #Murcia

And that my blog readers and friends is February 2022 done and dusted already!!

Don't forget you can catch me LIVE on air every weekday morning from 7am on BIG RADIO SPAIN. https://www.bigradiospain.com/ #earlybreakfast #liveradio #bigfm
