July brought me visitors!! Finally after two years people are allowed to travel and it was fantastic to have my gorgeous flower girl Amelia, over for a couple of weeks. Obviously she didn't fly on her own. Not sure that is allowed anymore. I remember when you could put a child on a plane on their own and the trolley dollies looked after them and brought them out to whoever was picking them up at the other end. Probably something to do with health and safety airlines don't do that anymore... No idea!

Anyway i'm thinking what having visitors means is that I actually had to go out and do some touristy stuff! Me a tourist!! Ouch!!
After a few days lazing round our local municipal pool, we ventured to the local restaurants.
I totally believe in supporting local trade and our village is full of some amazing bars and restaurants.
We have a local market as well every Wednesday.

Thank god for our munical pool thats what I say. Best way to keep kids entertained, and its cheap as chips only 2euros per day. Open from 10-2pm and 4-8pm. You can take your own food and drink. There is a bar there but it is closed now. I heard it is due to the Town Hall wanting their cut. Shame because when it was open it was great to sit with a drink and tapas watching the kids having a great time. Hopefully maybe next year someone will take it on and make another go of it. #municipalpool #Villagelife
I had no choice but to take them to the Water Park in Torrevieja.
Not a chance in hell is this a place I would ever venture in normally.

Aquopolis Waterpark in Torrevieja is definately a place to take the kids.
Not the cheapest but you can take all your own food & drink, albeit no alcohol or cans. I do not think for one minute they should charge you for parking though, even if it was only 5euros!
The park is beautifully set out and really clean.
You can hire beds or just find a nice shady or sunny part on their gardens.
There is loads to do and the queue's were really not that bad.
Not that I queued up anywhere left them to do all that.

Because it was far too hot to go to the beach for a day and to be honest the time flew by, we hit the beach on the way back from the Waterpark.
Such a gorgeous coast we have here on the Costa Blanca its hard to choose where to go.

I have wrote about The Castle before here on my blog. So just a quickie to say the service and the food was once again fantastic. We had menu del dia and the childrens menu was great value for money too. Beautiful surroundings to sit outside but a nice cool air-conditioned inside area too. They cater for many weddings, birthdays etc..

Before we knew it was the end of their holiday.. Much more was crammed into their time here but I don't want to bore you to death. It would be like looking at someones holiday pics.. Remember having to do that??
Get them on early if you want them to be the next generation of scooter chicks!!
What with days in the pool, scooter rides out, BBQ's playing in the Spa every day, not to mention supporting the local bars attending music bingo eating in our gorgeous restaurants & meeting new friends I reckon this chick had the best holiday ever!

DJ'd at Lawsons Cocktail & Wine bar again based in the heart of Quesada.

All in all its been an amazing manic month. Fantastic to have family here, very sad to see them go but Adios until next time...
