What a great July it has been. Apart from moaning about the weather being far too hot and still got August to get through, I've had a great month. Loads of djing this month together with Lawsons in Quesada, one of my very favourite venues, I was at El Rancho and Silverstones.
Let me tell you about El Rancho, Los Montesinos.
El Rancho is a unique location on the Costa Blanca. They offer the complete relaxation experience away from the hustle and bustle of the centre of Torrevieja.
El Rancho offers a restaurant with international cuisine for all diets, a complete yoga schedule, spa, sauna, glorious swimming pool, and horse riding in a rustic Spanish ranch. They are also a hotel, offering their wooden cabins that can take a family of four.
I was asked to DJ a private birthday party here one Sunday afternoon, so of course jumped at the chance. A fantastic venue for an afternoon of great music, food, drinks & lots of fun.

I love a Sunday afternoon of entertainment. There is not enough of it about. I was djing alongside Soul Singer Reece. We raised 260euros for A Helping Hand, thanks to everyone that was there.
We at BIG Radio Spain are at the moment fundraising for A Helping Hand which is a food and clothes bank for families that have absolutely nothing and need everything.

The day was a sellout and everyone had a great time. The buffet was to die for. It was an all you can eat ploughmans lunch style buffet and what was not on it is not worth mentioning, all for the big massive price of 6euros per person!! Amazing!!
I even got my tea for the next couple of days with a doggy bag..

And last but definately not least I got the surprise of my life when my bestie Sam and hubby Phil turned up to surprise me!! I was totally gobsmacked she really did get me bigstyle..

I got to check out a restuarant I have wanted to go to for years with my very good friend Don. Da Silvas in Quesada.
What a gorgeous restaurant it is too. Da Silva's is a Family Run Restaurant offering Exciting Menus in a Small, and Informal Setting. The food was excellent. I opted for pate to start whilst Don has the soup. We both chose the fish which was absolutely delish and ended with a fantastic sorbet. Something I don't normally have. Will be having one again thats for sure.
They also have a cocktail bar next door to the restaurant.
Perfect for a pre dinner or after dinner drink
Open from 5.30pm Tuesday to Saturday

Loopy Lou arrived for a holiday and my god did we party for 10days.
I could have done with 10 days off work to get over it when she had gone.
Gary landed a couple of days later and then Stu flew in for the weekend.
So yep you can imagine how mad it was.
One of the days we took the bus to Santa Maria where we hit The Monkey Lodge on the beach for a few cocktails.
Over looking the ocean this is a Restaurant, cocktail bar and shop. A great place to chill out watching the ocean with fantastic cocktails.
That good I can't remember what we had.
God knows where the 10days went but we had an absolute ball.
I have been here now how long and never mentioned Zoco Market. Near the towns of Quesada and Algorfa is the popular Zoco Market. The market is in a picturesque rural setting, among fragrant citrus groves and has a large car parking area, although this can quickly fill up during the peak summer months so it is advisable to arrive early.
The market boast a large number of stalls selling a variety of goods including fresh produce such as fruit & veg, a selection of meats, cured hams and sausages, home made breads, pastries and cheeses. There are pickles, jams, chutney, sun dried tomatoes and a good variety of delicious olives. Homeware items include bed linen, towels, dish cloths, cutlery, cleaning products, DIY goods, garden and terrace awnings and a selection of garden and indoor furniture as well as kitchen units. Kids will have fun browsing the toy stalls, and there is a wide variety of adult and children’s clothing, accessories, toiletries and fragrances.
When visiting Zoco Market you can enjoy refreshments and food in a number of cafés or even get a haircut or style from the ladies and gents hairdressers.
The market is open every Sunday from 08.30 – 14.00.
