The start of a brand new year wasn't a good one for me this time. If you don't know, I suffer from stage 4 Endomentriosis. What the hell is that?
I had never heard of it either until I was finally diagnosed 5 years ago. I had been suffering all over the festive period, soldiered on as I didn't want a crap crimbo but woke up January 1st with the worst endo flare up I have ever had. I won't bore you with the details but it floored me. I am normally very private when it comes to things like this but I also think more awareness should be made to this excruciating disease. Especially for the young girls..

The Three Kings festival is celebrated on 6 January , the date it is believed that Wise Men from the East, astrologers, reached Bethlehem to worship the infant Jesus and offer him gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. That explains why presents are still the main element in the celebration today..
The Three Kings Parade in San Miguel did not disappoint.
The whole village comes together and the kiddies have a fantastic time.

As much as I can I have taken to walking out and about
in the campo near where I live. What an amazing place I live in. There are some wonderful tracks to follow taking you through the orange groves and giving you spectacular views of the Salt Lakes and the Sea.

I had a few djing gigs this month too.
First one being Ric's 60th birthday party at Restaurante La Cana, Day Vieja.
Top little Spanish venue. Food was amazing.
Definately have to go and check out the menu del dia or menu del noche for sure.
Everyone had a fantastic night.

Next up was an 80s night at local bar O'Neills, San Miguel. Was dead chuffed to be djing here as its a great venue with a great stage and atmosphere. They have also started putting on live bands every Saturday which is fantastic to see. They serve some great food as well. I totally recommend the little burgers and nachos. Very very tasty.

What a beautiful day for a walk along the front ending up with a delicias meal at Restaurante Nautilus, Torrevieja.
And most definately warm enough to sit outside.
We have had the most amazing weather all over the festive season and all of January.
So out came the green godess and red devil to blow the cobwebs away ready for a brand new year..
