Girls on Tour!!

I had an interview for WeLoveSpain.Live with Paul Body the owner of the Moli Boutique Hotel, based in the heart of Alfaz Del Pi, Alicante so what better way to do it than take my Spanish Bestie Lynn with me and have a night away..

Setting off on a beautiful sunny Thursday morning it took only one hour and ten minutes to get to our destination. With only a few hiccups along the way, honest.

The first being when I stopped for fuel. Now come on this is the first time I have had to do all this on my own, so its not really my fault that I firstly pulled into the truck stops diesel pump and only realised it was the wrong one when the pump was far to big to fit into my car.. Oooops over to the right one.

Next hiccup erm which diesel do I put in?? two different diesel pumps so over to Lynn to ring hubby to find out. Finally just about to fill the car when the attendent came out to tell me I had to pay first. What a palava!! #spanishpetrolstations

Off we go straight down the AP7 all the way. Hardly any traffic in sight and Passing Almoradi, Crevillent, Elche, Alicante, El Campello, Villajoyosa, Benidorm to end at the gorgeous Moli Boutique Hotel in the Spanish town of Alfaz del Pi. #spanishroads #spanishscenery #coastaldrive

And what an absolutely amazing hotel it is too.

We got a fantastic warm welcome from the lovely receptionist Lauren checking us in, even though yep we had forgot to bring our passports.

Don't whatever you do forget yours you will not be able to check in without it. Every check in is linked to the local police. So if the hotel gets a visit and there is someone in a room that isn't checked in then voila massive fine for the hotel.

Luckily we had pictures of ours sent over.

Hand sanitzer at reception, masks worn and most of all absolutely spotlessly clean.

Room number 6 was ours for the rest of the day, evening and a late checkout at 12noon the next day.

As you can see from the video the room was perfecto. Complimentary tea - made Lynn a happy bunny as she is tea mad in the mornings - coffee and water. Towels and pool towels provided together with shower gel in the once again absolutely spotlessly clean bathroom. But the bed.... WOW what a bed... Had the best nights sleep ever and no it wasn't anything to do with the alcohol we was made to sample during our stay!! #bedroom #poolview #barview #streetview

After a tasty fresh lite lunch of tuna and cheese boccadilla washed down with a gorgeous fruity glass of rose we met up with the owner Paul Body for a chat. What a very nice man he is too. His interview went out live on my show, Caz Matthews presents We Love Spain Live on FAB Radio International, www.fabradiointernational.com but if you missed it no fear you can listen again via my mixcloud account right here

Paul told us they bought the hotel 4years ago and it took a year to fully renovate it.

He got the hotel 50,000euros cheaper as long as he didn't change the name whilst the previous owner was still alive. Poor Paco sadly passed away last year but he lives on in the beautiful refurbed Moli Boutique Hotel of course.

And we totally agree that he has done an amazing job of refurbing this hotel.

What do you think?

The pool area was so relaxing and the pool itself looked so inviting but alas a tad too cold for this chick and not a chance Lynn would even dip her feet in.

Time for a few drinkies and to meet up with friends of mine I haven't seen for far too long. A stroll through the town and off for dinner.

It was absolutely fantastic to catch up with Darren and his son Kaden Pilkington. Not seen Kaden since he was about 18months old.

What a top lad he is.

Giving us a history lesson as we strolled the streets of Alfaz Del Pi.

Apparently The reason why its called Alfaz del Pi is because there was a pine tree planted over 80 to 85 years ago which has been recently knocked down as it died.

A new one has been put there to replace it.

Lets see if that one lasts another 85 years eh?

L'Alfàs del Pi is a Valencian town and municipality located in the comarca of Marina Baixa, in the province of Alicante, Spain, lying at the foot of Serra Gelada. L'Alfàs del Pi has an area of 19.3 km² and, according to the 2011 census, a total population of 19,802 inhabitants; the latest official estimate is 20,482

The town itself is full of life...

There are plenty of buzzy little bars and restaurants.

It really was good to see people out and about enjoying their evening.

All masked up and social distancing of course.

The boys took us to Hotel Moli Lounge for dinner. I think we both had the chicken which was 100%.

Served by a very happy waiter, masked up. And there was music playing which made a great change as I for one think im going deaf not hearing live music at the moment.

We had a great evening finishing off back at the bar in Moli Boutique Hotel.

So what more can I say about this hotel, apart from it really is a must stay.
