Boys And Their Toys!!

Well as you know me, if you know me, I have no clue about cars whatsoever so decided to pop down to the event organised by the Phoenix Car Club, Costa Blanca in Los Montesinos yesterday. Sunday 4th October.

WOW I was blown away by the display of specialist and classic cars.

Please do not ask me to name them though. But let's see if you can?

Just take a look at some of the beauties that was displayed!!

Also by the turnout of people that was there.

All masked up and social distancing of course.

Not forgetting the scooters - the best bit for me by far...

I should have got my green godess vespa out - maybe next month if im brave enough!!

The Phoenix Car Club was started in 2007 by a few enthusiasts who wanted to take advantage of the up and coming classic car scene in the Costa Blanca area of Spain, not forgetting the great weather and fantastic places to visit.

It soon became evident that there were many cars and owners lurking in this wonderful part of Spain just waiting to get involved! As their numbers were increasing at a phenomenal rate, all their members agreed that it would be an advantage to apply to become a legally registered Spanish Association.

They were granted Association status in June 2008, and with this came many benefits that non registered clubs are unable to offer. These include provision of membership/historic accreditation certificates and recognised valuations to meet Spanish requirements.

The Council of Members who run the Club, are all freely elected from the membership – along with ensuring that the legalities of the Association and its aims and objectives are met, they are always on hand to help and arrange the many activities held throughout the year.

Their Association is open to anyone interested in the preservation, promotion and ownership of classic and specialist cars. They have over 35 events per year organised in order to give people who share this passion the opportunity to tour this fantastic region and to get the cars out and about where they are supposed to be.

They are based in the Torrevieja and Vega Baja area and hold 3 club events per month. These are a mix of informal meetings, social activities and of course driving their cars!

The Association has been recognised by many of the other clubs in Spain, and as a result they are invited to and participate in a number of Spanish Concentrations and events each year.

This event in Los Montesinos is on the first Sunday of every month.

Check out their website right here for more information about all their events and what they are all about.
