Everyone who knows me knows i'm the biggest mardy pants ever!!
So how brave was I to take myself off for a tattoo? Far too brave!!
Two reasons why I decided to do this. One because I lost a very close friend far too early to the dreaded C word and thought it would be a nice thing to remember him by and two because it was coming up to the fourth anniversary of the Manchester Bomb at the Arena where we lost 22 Angels and I have been saying it for the last four years that I would get a tattoo, but was always too scared.
So on the 20th May, 2 days before the anniversary a friend recommended me to contact Black Cat Ink - Tattoo Studio. I Sent them a message via their facebook page https://www.facebook.com/BlackCatInkTattooStudio asking if they could fit me in on Saturday 22nd May. Not thinking for one minute that they could and probably hoping that they couldn't because I don't think I would have done it if they said no.
No such luck Caz they got back to me and said sure can 1pm Saturday... I could not not do it now could I? eeeeeeeeeeeek time to panic!!
The proof is in the pictures that I found myself sat in Black Cat Ink Tattoo Studio, Av. Antonio Pedrera Soler, 15, 03169 Algorfa, Alicante while the lovely Izzy did what she does best and gave me my Manchester Bee Tattoo..
Ouch!! Yes it did hurt but I was very brave and didn't cry - out loud that is.. We moan about having to wear masks but they can hide a lot..
Seriously it actually was not as bad as I thought it was going to bee. Izzy was brilliant with me and very very gentle.
And here it is.. How FAB is this? Obviously I had to have a green one. I didn't tell anyone I was doing this and everyone thought it was a sticker because they could not believe I had actually gone through with it. Well I did so there!!
Greg the owner was telling me how many Manchester Bee's they did four years ago when that terrible day happened in our beloved city.
People were queuing round the block for days. All the money he raised was sent to the Manchester community and the families affected.
What an amazing thing to do guys!!
