A Manic September/Septiembre Maniaco!!

I Can't believe that September has been and gone already!! The beautiful month of September I was eagerly awaiting for and now its over. Its been a crazy busy month though.

Starting with an outside broadcast for a charity do in Catral for Elche Childrens Care Home.

And what a great day it was too. It was the 1st time we was allowed to have an outside broadcast so there was still a few restrictions to adhere to. We wasn't allowed to have live singers but then I was the roving reporter talking to all the stall holders, masked up of course but the mind boggles really.. We managed to raise just over 1000 euros for the Childrens Home which was fantastic. Well done to each and every one of the stall holders and everyone else that turned up to support the event...

Looking to do an outside broadcast then look no further than Big Radio Spain they do an amazing job. https://www.bigradiospain.com/

A gig... A proper LIVE gig... My stubby hubby was here for the weekend and we went to a gig!! And even though its not my first choice tribute band they were amazing!!

Rock Against Cancer with ACDC...

Check these guys out right here.. https://www.facebook.com/rockagainstcancertorrevieja

The gig was at The Abbey Tavern an amazing venue for live music. Great stage, great food and even better table service. It was a very busy night and the staff were well on the ball.

Still not allowed to dance though...

Oh dear sit down Stu!!

With builders still in the house me & my Minni really needed to get away from all the mess and dust so off we went to a friends apartment in La Mata for a few days. Had a great relaxing few days in the beautiful beach area of the Costa Blanca.

Torre La Mata or simply La Mata is a district of Torrevieja located 5 km northeast of the city along the Costa Blanca, in the province of Alicante in southeastSpain. La Mata is often regarded as a dormitory suburb of Torrevieja. Many of the residents are expatriates from the United Kingdom, Germany and other northern European countries. Torre La Mata is renowned by tourists and locals for having an unspoilt Spanish charm, due to the lack of high-rise hotels and local affluence. #beach #lazydays #sandybeach #bluegreensea

Stumbled over a gorgeous Italian Restaurant situated right on the front,

Il Bacio Ristorante & Pizzería Italiana Da Paolo, so treated myself and WOW the food was amazing....

Bread & Ali Oli to start then the most fantastic Lasagne to follow.

Of course enjoyed with a gorgeous glass of house Red & a Lemon Cello to end.

Check them out here on their facebook page https://www.facebook.com/IlBacioRistorante

On my way back to my friends apartment I heard music... It was coming from the local bar up the street so obviously I had to go for a nosey. Casa Nana!! Great name for a great bar.

It was great and even more great to see it full and busy. Social distanced tables of course and everyone still had to sit down. No dancing. Fingers crossed that all changes soon.

I even made some new mates. No idea of their names but they know mine & Minni's .

Looked after us both and made sure I was speaking perfect Spanish by time I left them!!

Gracias mi amigos and Hasta pronto!!

Next stop Javea!!

Xàbia (Valencian: [ˈʃabia]) or Jávea (Spanish: [ˈxaβea]) is a coastal town and municipality in the comarca of Marina Alta, in the province of Alicante, Valencia, Spain, by the Mediterranean Sea. Situated on the side of the Montgó Massif, behind a wide bay and sheltered between two rocky headlands, the town has become a very popular small seaside resort and market town.

Half of its resident population and over two thirds of its annual visitors are foreigners.

I absolutely love this beautful Coastal Town, which also has some amazing restaurants. Me and my mate Burky checked some of them out over the weekend..

Restaurante El Faisán is just like a small diner on the side of the road. Great little place and very clean. Service was bang on and so was the food. https://www.facebook.com/elfaisanjavea

My god they served the very best mussels I have ever tasted.

It was like a mussel soup really and its a good job we shared a portion because we really did not need the second course at all.

I chose the oven roasted lamb which was melting in your mouth to die for and Burky had the Steak he was craving for all day.

Far too much food but all in all very very tasty!!

We did hit the nightlife of course and Javea is full of some great wine bars.

Gin & tonics, Jack Daniels & Coke a flowing, some great loud music but again No Dancing!! Yet!!

I must admit that La Siesta is one of my very favourite bars. Its beautiful day and night with great service and food. Overlooking the sea what more could you want to enjoy your breakfast, brunch or dinner or just a night cap on your way home.

They also cater for private functions. A great place for a wedding.

Even my Minni enjoyed the view..

After a walk along the beach front and afternoon of football - where we won of course... What better way to end a top weekend than hitting an Indian Restaurant for a good curry.

Kathmandu Restaurant is gorgeous. Beautiful decor inside and outside on the terrace where we chose to dine with it being a lovely warm evening.

Kathmandu Restaurant Javea is nestled in the heart of the costal town Javea. Just steps away from the white sand, crystal clear blue water beach of Jave Arenal.

Kathmandu Restaurant is the best Nepalese and Indian Restaurant in Costa Blanca region. Their extensive selection of menu, which varies from traditional Curries & Tandoori dishes. Guests can enjoy their meal in their big 60 cover terrace with a beautiful sea view and breathtaking view of mountain Montgo.

I have no idea what we ordered but I can honestly say hand on heart this has got to be one of the best, if not THE best Indian food I have ever tasted.

I really can not rave enough about this restaurant. Not just the food but the way it was served and just everything about the service. I will definately be back. And if you are in Javea you really do need to try it out. Tell them you read all about it here on https://www.welovespain.live/

Check out this restaurant via their website right here http://www.kathmandurestaurant.es/ or via their facebook page right here https://www.facebook.com/kathmandujavea and don't forget when you book in you heard all about them right here on We Love Spain.Live https://www.facebook.com/lovespainuk

I've finally joined a scooter club.. About time too!! I have been going out on my own just round the quiet streets of my village but really need to get more confidence on my green goddess Vespa so what better way to do it than join the boys at Costa Blanca Scooterist.. they meet every Sunday & Wednesday in my village at the Church Square. So there I was riding my green goddess up the high street dead chuffed with my self.

Met the boys for a coffee then Pete & Dave took me out on the quiet road towards Torremendo.

Thanks guys... I was doing amazing, we went as far as we could go before I realised I might run out of fuel so turned round.

And then... Ooooops I fell off!!

Or should I say OUCH!!

Gutted I was..

But bravely I got right back on & rode home.. Not before winging first of course.

Wasn't totally my fault I hit some gravel & pulled the front break to stop myself going head long into a bush of nettles.

So hit the deck instead with my arm, side & leg!!

Honest its worse than it looks on this picture.

By poor Vespa is battered & bruised just like me now too.. And full of stickers to cover her bruises!

It didn't stop me & I was back on her last Sunday to meet the boys but this time didn't bother with the ride took her home after coffee.. #stillinpain

Also in this month I acquired a new pet on my washing machine..

Meet Jumping Jack!!

He now lives on my plant in my garden..

Well it has come to the end of September and we wasn't really allowed the big Fiesta that we have every year in our gorgeous village of San Miguel de Salinas, due to COVID. But what better way to end the Summer with a live band, A Police Tribute Band as well... No not the actual police of the village, which some people did think it was going to be.. A Spanish Police Tribute Band and they were amazing. Together with the end of Summer Fireworks of course.

Not the best pictures I know...

But hey it was fiesta ish time and I had had a few celebratory drinkies..

Here's to next years full on fiesta when everything gets back to normal and we can dance dance dance to live music all over the world!!
