I had no idea when I allowed Jumpin Jack to live in my bird of paradise plant he was eating it to death!
So he had to go to new pastures, after realising he was actually a locust not a grasshopper.
Locusts consume leaves and the tender tissues of plants. They are strong fliers as adults and tenacious hoppers as nymphs. Large swarms of locusts can completely strip the foliage and stems of plants such as forbs and grasses. Some species consume a variety of plants, while others have a more specific diet. So if you have one or more on your plants get rid now... Just like I did..

After spending a lovely evening with my friend Don where is culinary skills were amazing I definately needed a walk in the park. A beautiful one is right across the road from where he lives.
I will be going back to the Spence Restaurant!

A water management and purification system, disguised as a wonderful park, and landscaped only with native plants. It includes five lagoons and more than 70 different species of plants, some of which have become very rare in their natural ecosystems. Benches and sculptures were made from trees that had fallen over on the property. Myself & my Minni had a great walk around. Â

Off we went to Silverstones for a night of eating, drinking and dancing to the amazing Simon Jackson. We love this guy and he was performing at Silverstones just in time for Lynns birthday shenanigans before she headed off to the UK to celebrate with her family. We had a great night. GOOD BYE TO MY GORGEOUS MINNI MATTHEWS đ
I knew I would come to the part of the month I lost my girl. Very hard to write that my Minni Matthews sadly passed away at a ripe old age of 17years, peacefully in my arms on Friday 23rd February 2024.
Heartbroken is an understatement. She really was my world. From the moment I got her she has hardly ever left my side. She came EVERYWHERE with me and I mean EVERYWHERE. Work, gigs, shopping, holidays and even on T.V. you name it she was there.
So of course there was no doubt about it, she had to be Pooch of Honour at our wedding. #weddingpoochofhonour
She loved every minute of it too..

Everyone who knew Minni knew she was a legend.
So cute you would not believe she could also bite your arm off if the fancy took her đ
I thought I was going to lose her years ago when she lost one of her eyes, but no, just like the amazing trooper she was she troopered on.
She also had to have a conjunctival pedicle graft on her remaining eye and wore her cone for seven weeks as if it had always been there.
With only one eye that did not stop her being the one and only Minni Matthews and living life to the full.
She really was one amazing little doggy.
Travelled in the car with no problems whatsoever.
Infact she loved every minute of the long journey from the UK to Spain. She did it every Christmas before the last journey to move and live in Sunny Spain for good nearly 4 years ago.
I had to get a new vet for her a few weeks before she passed away because the one she had been going to had been taken over and really went down hill.
Plus they had taken home visits off their services. I was not happy with that as I had joined that Vets because they said they did home visits.
Centro Veterinario Los Montesinos to the rescue, they were fantastic. I can't stress enough that if you are looking for a vets to look after you and your pets then I definately recommend these guys.
I knew this day would come sooner or later with her getting to the ripe old age of 17 but I still hoped she would last forever. How wrong was I. My friends kept saying I would know when the day came. I really didnt understand how can you know??? But they were sooo right I did know when she was ready. My girl was not in pain or suffering in any way whatsoever, she was an old lady and between us we knew it was the right time.
Rocio, Regina & Hannah you were fantastic with my Minni & myself going over and aboard with your professionalism.
From Hannah checking in every day to Regina and Rocio coming to my house when it was time.
I can honestly say it was the most amazing way for Minni to go to sleep for the last time. đ„
Minni Matthews you had an amazing life with us thank you for being part of ours. Gone now but NEVER forgotten. đđđ

Well mine arrived just when I needed her most.
Two days after Minni went to sleep to be exact.
Amongst the tears we had a fantastic few days together and even managed to slip in a day and night in a SPA Hotel.
We got a great deal at the Ona Mar-Menor Golf & Spa.
It is a beautiful hotel.
Our room was amazing overlooking the front of the hotel. Two great big single beds and a jacuzzi bath. Very Egyptian style.
Lunch first in the Club House. I chose Ceaser Salad and mumzy opted for chicken nuggets and chips.
Service, Food, Drinks & weather was perfecto!
Then it was spa time together with a full body massage each. Oh how we was spoilt!! Followed by a fantastic meal in their Italian Restaurant, Fontana Dia Pietra. Perfect end to a perfect day.
Thank you to my mumzy, simply the best, for spoiling me rotten. I'm such a brat!! đ She even read me a bedtime story! đ„° #brat #mumzyndaughtertime #spoilt
Well that's February done and dusted. I have had a bit of time off my training for the run i'm doing in September - back to it next week. No doubt my trainer Andy Heath will be out to punish me and get me back on track... đ
